Writer's Choice Award Goes To...............

My writer's choice is the Community Unit blog assignment. It shows that I have gained a true understanding of how a community is defined. Before we started this unit, I thought of a community as a place where a group of random people just lived for no apparent reason. Throughout this class, the readings really helped me to understand that communities are everywhere. They can be narrowed down to common interest that can tie us together such as downloading music, remodeling cars, or even eating out. They can pretty much be described by a single verb! In this blog I explained my connection and experiences with my basketball team to show how much a community really endures a common interest. It was very special to me because basketball is my passion. It was very comforting being able to express thoughts that I know others can relate to.
